There will still be daylight when the music begins but featured vocalist Altha Morton and the talented musicians of Sentimental Journey Big Band will bring forth lots of stars from the Swing Era and beyond! The melodies of well known names like Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman are sure to be heard. These stars led their big bands and wrote arrangements for them, too! Altha will recreate the stylings of vocal stars Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Patsy Cline, and others. These are the songs that motivate people to dance or sing, and linger in your mind long after the show is over. Come share our excitement for some of the greatest American music ever written! This show is “Weather Dependent” and please bring your own chair.
